BIOGRAPHY

Maddy Curtis has been singing her entire life. Her tone and phrasing harken back to the great jazz vocalists of yesteryear like Ella, Doris, and Judy. Critics have described her performances as "hauntingly beautiful" and "soulful beyond her years".

Since graduating from Catholic University of America with her vocal performance degree in 2015, Maddy has sang all around the DMV area at different jazz clubs, bars, vineyards, and breweries with various ensembles and musicians. She recently moved to the beautiful city of Asheville, NC with her little family and is starting to delve into the acclaimed music scene there much to her delight.

You may also remember her from Season 9 of American Idol where Simon Cowell praised her as being "soulful" and "not annoying" as the judges welcomed her to the next round in Hollywood.

Maddy is also no stranger to the musical theater or opera stage and dips her toes into any musical genre she has the pleasure of being a part of.  She was most recently seen in Asheville Musical Theatre's Songs for a New World and some of her other favorite roles include: Jo March in Little Women the Musical, Nancy in Oliver!, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Eponine in Les Miserables.
